The Child Character Concept. Aug 23

The Child occupies a rather androgynous form, falling into a space where its body rejects a binary structure. I leant into this to create an element of uncanniness about The Child; one where it cannot be categorised or understood so easily as a gendered body, but rather one that exceeds it.
This also links to my idea that The Child can be viewed as either a supernatural being or scientific creation. It's body, while unsettling, does not completely fall outside the realm of possibility and into the paranormal. Instead, The Child thrives within our unknowing of how it came to be and the chance that is from beyond our waking world.
